ame of Clan: Nara
Group's Designer the leader is unknown yet to be disvored
Group's Location/Village: Konoha
Group's History/Bio: The Nara clan, whose status at this point is accredited only to the 5th Hokage, is one of the better known clans of the Leaf Village, almost as known as the great bloodline clans, the Uchiha and Hyuuga. The problem with this, however, is that the Nara have lost their most favorite of abilities...subtlety. Before, a Nara was normally one who were almost completely ignored. Now, they are known as the Shadows of the Hidden Leaf for more than one reason. For one, of course, their shadow skills. However, the second one is the fact that a shadow requires something to create it. The Nara's laziness is mainly broken when someone requires them to perform their duties, especially if important. But not all Nara are lazy, or extremely intelligent...
This is the modern Nara. The Nara before, however...well, that is history. However, it must be told.
In the days of the troublesome Nara, during the times of the 3rd and 5th Hokage, the village was attacked by the Sound Village. This event occured during the Chuunin Exams of that year. In that year, out of the many contestants, including Hyuuga Neji, known largely for his involvement with the clan family system, Uzumaki Naruto, the 6th Hokage, Uchiha Sasuke, reviver of the Uchiha clan, and even Sabaku no Gaara, a former Kazekage, only Nara Shikamaru was chosen. With this predicament, in comparison to the other great shinobi in their Genin years, Shikamaru was realized for his high intelligence and tactical capability. As a Chuunin, he led 4 Genin into an S-Rank mission and returned without casualties.
Shikamaru's ability shone throughout the Leaf Village, and soon the Nara had enough recognition to be recognized as a powerful clan in the Leaf Village politically. It would then seem that during the period in which Uchiha Sasuke was attempting to resurrect the clan, the Nara clan was able to step in and fill that void. The father of Shikamaru, Nara Shikaku, worked with the 5th Hokage in ways more than one. Thus the Nara became established further as a clan, not simply a family.
However, as the clan grew so did their abilities. Down the line, there was one who attempted to stand out from the others. With the laziness of the clan, this one decided that it wasn't enough to be the powerful lazy clan. And it was certain that he didn't believe that all Nara possessed a high amount of intelligence. However, it was possible that a Nara could learn tactical ability. And thus, with this tactical ability, he became the first Nara to openly admit that he did not possess high intelligence and the first to rebel against the ways of the clan. This particular Nara's name was Dakyou.
In a way, this particular Nara was right. It was quite wrong to assume this. But thus, the truth became reality. And the reality was that the Nara couldn't simply be the same as what was expected from the Shikamaru or Shikaku. The world can only expect the tactical ability that the skills of the Nara clan allowed. Thus the Nara is now presently in a world where their only pride is in their methods of using techniques. Though the rebel, unable to present his believes in a non-violent way, was banished, it does not change what is now acknowledged. The Nara are not all intelligent. Just...most of them are.
Group's Special Abilities: (The clans jutsu and special ability unique to them. Clans get a maximum of 3E, 3D, 3C, 2B, 2A, and 1S.)
E rank
Kagemane no Jutsu (Shadow Imitation Technique)
Description: The basic jutsu for the Nara clan. This technique allows the user to bind an opponent by touching their shadow to a person. Once bound the opponent is forced to mimic any movements made by the Nara, unable to move of their own free will. The only way of defending against this skill is simply to avoid letting it strike, a difficult task due to any Nara’s possessing the shadow manipulation skill. The Kagemane lasts for approximately 5-30 minutes, depending on the user's chakra capacity. This technique was originally used to hold persuers.(sp?)
Kagemane Notes
-User is unable to mold chakra into anything other than shadow techniques.
-This can be used as a base to connect to other objects' shadows without causing an imitation process.
Kage no Hari no Jutsu (Shadow Needles Technique)
Description: The user collects shadow and focuses it into small needles with chakra. The needles dissipate once hitting the victim.
Kage Nobori no Jutsu (Shadow Walking Technique)
Description: A rather passive jutsu. The user uses their shadow to soften their steps and also create movement on their own to sneak around. This takes an extremely small amount of chakra for the most part, and can allow the user to walk on walls and trees as if performing the Kinobori no Jutsu. However, the user cannot walk on water with this technique, but this technique can be used as prerequisite for the Suimen Hokou no Gyou. Counted as basic jutsu.
D rank
Kage Shishi no Jutsu (Shadow Extremities Technique)
Description: A strange adaptation to the Kage Kaihen, the user performs a short series of handseals, drawing up a bit of shadow around him (often directly from his own shadow, but that is not required). These shadows are sculpted into perfect replicas of limbs, often used to produce additional arms for the user. The results of this are obvious: the extra arms or legs can provide additional taijutsu power and attacks, are capable of weilding more weapons, or can be further sculpted by the Kage Kaihen for even more ingenious uses. This is limited to up to four additional limbs at most... though, where they appear on the body can be a strange and disturbing sight indeed. They last about 20 minutes, unless the user wishes to detatch the limbs.
Kage Engi no Jutsu (Shadow Expansion Technique)
Description: At this point, the user truly has mastered the ability to 'create' more shadow than they would normally have. In reality, this jutsu allows for the temporary control of not only the user's own shadow, but all shadows in the immediate area. However, like many of the techniques of shadow, this can only be performed for a limited amount of time. This technique typically lasts about 5 minutes for Genin, and longer for higher-ranked shinboi.
Kage Kaihen no Jutsu (Shadow Transformation Technique)
Description: Similar to Henge no Jutsu, the user has the ability to infuse and mold shadows with their own chakra. This allows them to change features, shape, and allows an incredible degree of control over shadow in general. These changes would normally be aestetic, as shadow is normally incorporeal, but if used in conjunction with techniques such as Kage Fukuseihin, or Kage Kubishibari, the technique has terrifyingly real potentcy. (Example: A Shadow transformed into a Kunai would be capable of stabbing or slitting the throat, if used with a technique that makes shadows corporeal.)
C rank
Kage Kangoku no Jutsu (Shadow Prison Technique)
Description: The user, now making the prerequisite Genjutsu a real technique, pulls the victim into a shroud of shadow, a seemingly alternate dimension. The user can hold this for no longer than 20 minutes at Chuunin, and 30 at Jounin, due to the taxing effect this has on chakra. In addition, disruption of the Shadow Prison is possible by performing a powerful Offensive Ninjutsu technique while within the darkness. As before, the victim will fall unconcious within 10 minutes of being trapped within the Shadow Prison, and can even die (other player's permission only) if mantained for a half-hour or longer.
Kage no Hishou (Flight of Shadow)
Description: This allows shadow to emerge or shoot from the user's shadow or any other shadow within control into the air from the ground. This technique, combined with others, can create various abilities, such as rising hands from the ground to use as traps and the such. This technique can be done in combination with Kagemane to create a rising shadow to grab with. Cannot be done on another's shadow.
Kagenui no jutsu
("Shadow Stiching") Kagenui no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. First, after forming the signature rat seal, the clan member is able to manipulate their shadow along a surface much like kagemane. Then, at any distance, a number of wavy spikes stretch out from the shadow to pierce the target(s). For this attack jutsu, no attachment is needed.
B rank
Kage Fukuseihin no Jutsu (Shadow Copy Technique)
Description: A large amount of shadow must be present, or created, for this technique to be used, and the amount of shadow available directly affects how many Shadow Copies can be created. Considered a varient of the Kage Bunshin, the user performs a series of seals, and slams his hands against a shadow-covered surface. Slowly, the shadow rises from the ground in a fully humanoid, three-dimensional shape, taking on the features of the user. Created through chakra-infusions, these replica are very real, and cannot be told apart from the real user in any means (even doujutsu cannot tell the difference between them, as the chakra blends seemlessly). Each replica can fight with the skill and techniques of the user, due to the fact that they are created from the living chakra-infusions, and unlike Kage Bunshin, are roughly as tough as the original. A replica could take roughly as much damage as the user could in a weakened state before reverting to a meager shadow. There is a single drawback that makes this technique dangerous, however: By spreading chakra between the replica's the user weakens himself. The more replica's there are, the weaker they become along with the user, because the total chakra output cannot be larger than the user's.
Kage Kubishibari no jutsu (Shadow Neck Bind)
Description: A specialty jutsu of the Nara. After successfully using the Kagemane no jutsu, the chakra can be altered to make a hand run up the body of the enemy and squeeze his or her neck until the enemy dies. A strength of about Jounin level can break this.
A rank
Kageyomi no Jutsu (Shadow Underworld Technique)
Description: The same seals as for Kage Kangoku are performed, the user's shadow expands out, like a long 'mirror' beneath the victim. Instead of a single seal, the user slams his hands against the shadow beneath his own feet, shadowy 'hands' reaching up from the darkness, and grabbing the victim to pull it into the shadow. However, once within the shadows, rather than the suffocating darkness awaiting them, something far worse enacts itself. Suspended in darkness, hundreds of 'shadow' senbon and kunai hurl from all directions, piercing the poor victim over and over again. This effect can be controlled by the user to a degree, in that he can seem to speed up, or slow down the speed of the shadow projectiles. The sinister truth of this level is hard-reaching, as well: no longer is this a mere illusion: the pain and suffering is very real. The only escape from this technique is to stop it from catching hold: A Jounin-level strength, or a very powerful Ninjutsu.
Kageryuudan no Jutsu (Shadow Dragon Blast Technique)
Description: The shadows begin to open up in front of the user, and a dragon-shaped blast of shadow and chakra emerge to attack the target. The victim is temporarily blinded in shadow once hit by the attack.
S rank
Kageyomi Semeku no Jutsu (Shadow Underworld Torture Technique)
Requirement: Clan GM Approval
Type: Kinjutsu
Description: This technique is the ultimate level of perverse impurity, as it expands even further than the Kageyomi. As before, the user's shadow expands out upon the performing of the handseals, shadowy 'hands' reaching up from the darkness, and grabbing the victim to pull it into the shadow. Once more, the volly of shadow projectiles are unleashed upon the flesh of the victim, to rip and tear. However, an added part completes this mentally and physically destructive technique: the user keeps his hands within the shadows, allowing him direct control of the shadowy domain he had placed the victim within. Something between genjutsu and ninjutsu that can only be described as a Kinjutsu - a truly forbidden technique - takes hold, as time itself within these shadows fades away. What is in reality minutes seemes like days, as the needles and knives of darkness pierce flesh and spill blood; slowly, methodically, over and over again.
